How long have you been running:
Since I was 14 which is 16 years.

What are the events you do?
I used to be a sprinter but I’m now moving all the way up to 800m.

Proudest Moment in Athletics:
Watching David Gillick finish 6th in Berlin at the World Athletics Championships in 2009 in the 400m. A great performance in such a competitive event.

What’s your most memorable race?
The Intervarsities 2007. I broke 50 seconds for the first time, which I was trying to do for a few years and it was also my first individual intervarsities medal. We also won a medal in the 4 by 400m for CIT.

What’s your main goal for this year?
Break 2 minutes for the 800m.

What do you like most about Togher AC?
In terms of the people and the craic in the club, I believe Togher AC is the best club in Ireland.

In 5 years time, athletics wise, where do you see yourself? Hopefully I will be still involved with the club at some level and possibly taking part in events off the track.

Do you have a favourite sports hero?
Michael Johnson multiple Olympic and World Champion.

What else should we know about Liam?
His favourite drink is Tanora, favourite film is Braveheart and favourite food is Pizza! 🙂
