Road Race Results

There’s been no rest over the holidays for some of our members who have been taking part in BHAA and local races. Great running and results all round.

Donoughmore 7 Mile Road Race (Friday 21st July)

Many of coach Doc Doherty’s senior men took part in the 7 mile road race in Donoughmore on Friday 21st of July. Well done to everyone who took part, especially to David Barrett who was 12th overall and 2nd male over 45 and to Rachel O’Callaghan who was 1st female in the over 40 category. Also congratulations on some great running to Geoffrey Casey who was 10th, Eric Browne who was 11th and to Brian O’Callaghan, Andrew Maher, Sean Fouhy, Brian Maher, Pat O’Mahony and Rory McCarthy who all ran superb races.

 

Grenagh 5 Mile Road Race (Friday 28th July)

Brian O’Callaghan and Ken O’Mahony took to the roads of Grenagh to complete the 5 mile road race there on Friday 28th July.

Brian ran a great race, coming in 4th place with Ken not far behind in 7th place. Well done to both athletes who are showing great form this year.

BHAA Novartis 5k Road Race (Wednesday 2nd August)

Six of our members took part in the BHAA Novartis 5k road race on Wednesday 2nd August.

Congratulations to David Barrett who is placing in his category at all BHAA races in which he takes part. Novartis 5k was no exception, where David was 1st in the over 45 category. Well done to Geoffery Casey who was 8th person over the line, to Mary Beth Ryan who had a personal best, to Shirley Twomey, Mary O’Halloran and Yvonne Walsh also who ran very strong races.
