At lunchtime on Sunday 5th February, 16 of our members took to the streets of Dungarvan for the John Treacy 10 mile road race. Tony Kelleher came in second place in the 045 category, showing super form and starting off the season in style. Our mens team were 8th in the Open Team category, which is a fantastic result in this very competitive race. Well done Dave O’Keeffe, Eric Browne and Brian O’Callaghan who made up this team. Dave and Brian had massive personal bests, so watch out for them in the year ahead. While the Togher AC John Treacy team (Dave, Tony and Eric) technically came in 4th place, unfortunately the rules mean that Tony, receiving an individual prize, cannot be counted. In any case, we are very proud of such fine performances.
